JOB LOCATION: Johannesburg

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: St Peter's College is seeking, either internally or externally, a forward looking candidate with a solid track record in school management including demonstrable academic success. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a co-educational, high school environment with IEB status (or a similar standard). The candidate must currently be in a leadership role. The College's ethos embraces values of diversity and innovation and is learner centric where each learner is encouraged to attain their personal potential. The values of relationship, respect and responsibility are core to the College. Candidates must demonstrate their commitment to this ethos. Reporting to the Council the Head will lead a school of approximately 600 learners from Grades 8 to 12.

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • A recognised teaching qualification, a related postgraduate degree will be an advantage

  • A career in education is a necessity with high school experience, within an IEB environment ideally

  • SACE registration

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a management position in an education context

  • Innovative and forward thinking

  • Embraces diversity

  • Proven leadership with a solid track record
