SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: This co-educational ISASA affiliated High School, offers education from Grade 8 to Grade 12. The school has strong traditions, is community focused and has a high sense of success across arts, culture, sports, and academics. The Opportunity exists for a Head of Academics to be appointed at this accomplished High School which has about 800 pupils. 

The Head of Academics, Kind David High School, Linksfield will assume responsibility for continuing to drive academic excellence, challenging the boundaries to strive for ongoing improvement in subjects and related material taught, as well as methodologies used. In addition, the incumbent will be required to teach their subject to certain Grade/s, and further develop and maintain relationships with the Deputy Head Master, High School; Counsellors; Director; Staff; and Grade 12 Student Affairs Co-ordinator. The successful candidate should should also expand affialiations with institutions of higher education, businesses,  and non-profit organisations to further academic goals; and maintain a co-operative interaction and working relationship with other Academic Heads in ISASA affiliated schools. 


A person of wide educational experience, local or international

Must have had school management experience and interacted with parents and students

Thorough knowledge of the standards and requirements for secondary school education, especially IEB requirements

Proficient in curriculum development

An established and effective network in education

Remain abreast of education trends and continually bring innovative ideas to instruction

Collegiate in nature and a team player in a driven and demanding environment

Important to accept, respect, and support the ethos of Jewish heritage, its traditions, and a commitment to the South African Jewish Community


 800 pupils. A qualified and experienced teacher, preferably with a post-graduate degree and SACE registered
