Position Summary:

Group Financial Manager, Mining

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Financial Director, the incumbent will be responsible for:

 

Establishing and maintaining financial and management procedures, and provide financial input, strategic analysis and support to the Executive and Operations Directors whilst ensuring compliance with all statutory legislation and regulations.

 

Key Attributes Required:

  • Must be a Chartered Accountant (SA).
  • Should ideally be older than 30 in terms of minimum experience required
  • At least six years post-qualifying experience in commerce, ideally in the mining sector
  • A solid background and knowledge in accounting processes and an understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the practical implementation thereof
  • Should have knowledge of and experience in internal auditing
  • Should ideally have knowledge of Accpac functionality
  • Very good Information Technology skills with expert knowledge of Excel including Pivot tables, V look-ups and financial modelling as well as strong knowledge of process flow re-engineering
