TOTAL STAFF RESPONSIBILITY: In excess of 190 people

 

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: R500 million turnover

  

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: Responsibility and authority for the effective leadership and profitable management of the company so as to achieve a financial performance which is in line with agreed objectives

 

GROUP BACKGROUND: Inbound Tour Operator

 

 

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Must be a graduate
  • At least fifteen years post qualifying experience
  • Should currently be Managing Director/Member of the Executive Committee of a company/division in the hospitality/tourism sector
  • Experience in a tour operating company, ideally inbound, is essential
  • Should have managed a professional staff complement of at least fifty people and have been responsible for an annual turnover of at least R200 million
  • Must have strong customer service and service delivery orientation
  • Strongly profit and results orientated, financially literate and commercially astute
  • Must be willing to travel extensively in Southern Africa and Internationally

KEY JOB PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Creating, developing and implementing a vision, strategic direction and momentum to grow the company organically ensuring a 15% return on investment and doubling the annual turnover
  • Developing commercial relationships with international clients and local hospitality groups
  • Identifying, sourcing, finding and concluding new acquisitions in order to expand the division
  • Managing relationships with and lobbying key stakeholders
  • Motivating, mentoring and guiding the members of the Executive Committee
  • Ensuring effective corporate governance processes and systems are in place
  • Creating an ethos of excellence and desire for continuous improvement and growth in the company
