SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: Responsibility and accountability for a range of Human Resource activities including employee relations, talent management, organisational development, learning and development and reward across a selection of departments (including Marketing, Research & Development, Quality, Finance, ISIT) at the company's South African head office..

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Graduate, ideally with a Human Resources Degree
  • A minimum of 6 - 8 years experience in generalist human resources for a multinational or major South African organization
  • Ideally having worked in the Human Resources team of a ranked “best place to work” organisation
  • A minimum of two years experience as a Human Resources Head Office Business Partner
  • Experience in the Human Resources team of a ranked “best place to work” organisation would be advantageous

KEY JOB PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Be the first point of contact for line management and employees on all Human Resources topics
  • Establish strong relationships with line managers to coach / provide feedback on all people and organisation related topics
  • Manage employee relations issues (including disciplinary and grievances)
  • Proactively seek relevant best practices both within the Group and externally to improve the level of professionalism within the Human Resource function and to position the company as an employer of choice
  • Lead the annual "People & Organisation" review
  • Coordinate the annual performance management processes and support line managers as needed
  • Manage all recruitment and exits
  • Identify areas to strengthen the organisation in accordance with the company's ambitions
  • Define methods to “up-skill” individuals and implement accordingly
  • Lead or support key organisation and change management projects
  • Identify Learning & Development needs by function (or across the business)
  • Build a training plan which is aligned with identified gaps and company strategy ensuring it drives individual and business performance
  • Work with the Compensation and Benefits Manager to manage the annual salary review and bonus processes
