SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: Assume responsibility for designing, implementing, managing and maintaining a performance management system for the Group

GROUP BACKGROUND: The Group is global fund management operation with a strong investment track record as an investment manager. The Group has substantial assets under management and employs 240 people

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Must have a relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 10 years experience in the design, implementation, management and maintenance of performance management systems
  • Should have implemented a performance managementsystem in the investment sector or in a sector where the outcome/result of actions will only be seen in the future
  • Persuasive with sound consulting, facilitation and coaching skills
  • Strong client service orientation, able to build robust business oriented relationships and a catalyst for continuous improvement
  • Problem solver with a business and commercial focus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills complemented with excellent research and analytical ability
  • Able to work both independently and as part of both small and large teams

KEY JOB PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Design, develop, plan and implement the operational framework and policies for a Performance Management system
  • Develop processes, practices and systems for an effective and aligned organisational performance management framework(inclusive of Performance Contracting, 360 Reviews and Formal Performance Reviews and Discussions)
  • Ensure there are specifications and key performance indicators for each position in the Group
  • Align the Total Reward Strategy including short-term, medium and long term incentive schemes with the Performance System
  • Conduct or commission Compensation & Benefits surveys, analyse results and market trends and proposeadjustments to pay scales, short, medium and long term incentive schemes and the profit share scheme
  • Design and implement an appropriate Performance Management Training Programme
