POSITION: Business Development Manager

REPORTS TO: Managing Director

TOTAL STAFF RESPONSIBILITY: 2 people

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: The position entails building and managing a portfolio of private clients that are seeking solutions that assist in securing an organisation‘s social licence to operate in their industry.These are typically solutions that deepen the organisation‘s relationships with their stakeholders.

GROUP BACKGROUND: International Group

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Masters Degree (Economics/Finance/Business). An MBA would be advantageous
  • The ideal candidate will have had:

A minimum of 5 years experience as a management consultant with an interest in economic and social development

OR

A sound track record of 10 years in the area of investment management, and/or social investment within a private sector or development finance institution

  • Have sound investment, financial, operational and socio-political acumen combined with a sound understanding of key drivers underpinning business and social imperatives within business and social entrepreneurial ventures
  • Experience in analysing the sustainability performance of firms
  • Strong market analysis skills
  • Knowledge of methodology, trends, tools for sustainability strategy
  • Experience in direct sales to clients
