 Job Summary:

Assume responsibility and accountability for the management, leadership and development of the sales function, with particular emphasis on: developing and implementing a strategic sales and distribution plan in support of the Group's objectives; building and developing existing and new direct sales channels; and improving and maintaining sales standards as well as quality of business

 Key Attributes Required: 

  • At least five to seven years sales management experience in the banking, insurance, financial services, direct selling or fast moving consumer goods sectors
  • Must have managed a sales staff complement in excess of 50 people and have been responsible for generating an annual sales turnover/premium income of at least R200 million
  • Successful track record success in growing sales/premium income
  • Extensive knowledge of budgeting, planning and how sales and marketing activities impact the bottom line
  • Experience in applying marketing-orientated strategic planning in order to identify market opportunities
