JOB LOCATION: Johannesburg

REPORTING TO:

Managing Director and General Manager (National Sales Manager, Packaging)

National Sales Manager, South Africa and General Manager (National Account Manager)

SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITIES:

Assume responsibility for business promotion and the development of profitable sales taking into consideration the multiple interests of the business, its suppliers and customers, coupled with the promotion and development of the organisation’s value propositions (National Sales Manager, Packaging)

Assume responsibility for key account management and the promotion and development of the organisation’s value propositions (National Account Manager)

KEY ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Strong direct converter product selling experience, recognised and renowned within the South African paper and packaging industry
  • Ability to develop, manage and execute a successful sales strategy coupled with the ability to develop long term strategic relationships with customers and identify business opportunities for long term growth
  • Ideally have had experience in a multi-national environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualification

KEYJOB PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Develop a strategic sales plan in conjunction with the global head office (National Sales Manager, Packaging)
  • Executethe strategic sales plan and manage key accounts (National Account Manager)
  • Grow business via profitable sales growth. Focus on margin rather than volume and concentrate on selling high margin products to low risk customers
  • Effectively manage the client relationships; strategic business partnerships; and relationship with the support services provided by the global group
