JOB LOCATION: Midrand

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: R3.4 billion

 

 

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

The CFO (Chief Financial Officer) is principally responsible for supporting the CEO to forecast on margins and revenue and tightly monitor and manage cash flow. The CFO drives company-wide fiscal discipline and monitors overall corporate governance, compliance and financial management with strict adherence to deadlines and accurate reporting. The CFO must create an environment where there is complete transparent visible line of sight into the company’s financials. He/ she is completely responsible and accountable for risk management and cash allocation.

 

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • At least fifteen years’ experience gained at a senior financial level within a similar or related sector, particularly a project-based environment
  • Experience at Board level and /or in a listed entity is preferable but not essential
  • Commercial knowledge of project accounting coupled with an understanding of project life cycles, exposure, funding and risks attached
  • Proven strategic and operational financial management expertise; ideally across multiple geographies/projects. Knowledge of working in Africa would be useful
  • Understanding of onshore and offshore compliance issues
  • Experience implementing systems and processes to manage the different locations (160 sites)
  • Ability to oversee and improve the internally developed and integrated IT systems (based on Accpac)
  • Strong history and successful track record with positive returns
  • Familiar with providing accurate on-time financial reporting
  • Previous interactions with bankers and guarantee providers

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Chartered Accounted Qualification is essential
