Position Summary:
To manage and put in place the necessary resources and systems to ensure delivery of the following;
- Control and load project budgets
- Evaluation of claims
- Preparation and finalising accounts
- Client liaison
- Follow-up on outstanding debtors
- Preparation of monthly certificates
- Reconciliation of costs against recoverables
Key Attributes Required:
- Graduate calibre with a Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management Accounting. An additional Cost Engineering Certificate would be an added advantage
- At least seven years in a management position and ten years mining related experience
- Developed a good knowledge of Mine Contracting, Contracting Law (FIDIC & NEC) and Cost Engineering
- Useful to have a knowledge of JD Edwards ERP system as well as Microsoft Office Excel and Construction Computer Software (CCS)
- Track record of familiarity and work experience of monthly interim certificates, contract claims, revenue variance management, project cash flow, financial project scope changes/variations, monthly financial reviews, contract profitability and financial risk management
