Position Summary:

Reporting to the Managing Director the Chief Financial Officer will have responsibility and authority for the management of the finance and administration departments of the company.

Key areas of activity:

• Compilation and implementation of the budget
• Planning and pursuit of strategic goals such as order intake, sales, Earnings before Interest and Tax (EBIT) and EBITDA, as well as cash flow and working capital management
• Implementation of the strategic goals
• Ensuring compliance with group reporting and accounting requirements
• Contributing towards the development of country-specific strategies for profitable growth

Key Attributes Required:

• Chartered Management Accountant or Chartered Accountant
• At least ten years post qualifying financial and management experience
• Must have gained experience as a financial executive in a multi-national operation and it would be useful to have had international experience within the USA, UK or Australia
• Ideally gained management experience with a small industrial company or of a business unit within a larger industrial group
• Solid experience in the management of people and ideally with management experience of other disciplines
• A good working knowledge of cost accounting and product calculation, ideally in a plant engineering business
• Track record of success in working capital management
• Experience in international trade transactions and foreign exchange dealings
• A working knowledge of SAP FI/CO and Microsoft Office
• An ability to speak German would be an advantage
