Company Background: Major listed Agri-business. Position Summary: Set the strategic direction for the organisation to ensure successful operation in a highly competitive and efficiency driven environment; total authority and responsibility for managing the various revenue generating companies and production arms of the Organisation; manage the Organisation's relationship with Government and the industry; and ensure that the Organisation complies with the principles of good corporate governance and triple bottom line reporting. Reporting to the Chairman of the Board, with a total staff responsibility for ± 4 000 people and revenue in excess of R1,5 billion. Key Attributes Required: - Degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Science or Engineering
- At least fifteen years experience in a general management role within an industrial agricultural manufacturing and sales environment with a turnover in excess R700 million and employing more than 2 000 people
- A track record of successfully building, developing, motivating and leading a team
- Depth of experience in budgeting and financial controls and interpretation of financial statements
- Success in handling contractual matters and high level key stakeholder relationships
