SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:
Responsibility and authority for directing the short and long term objectives, policies, budgets and operating plans for the company.
GROUP BACKGROUND:
South African subsidiary of Global Fast Moving Consumer Goods Group
KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

A Post Graduate qualification
-
At least 10 years senior management experience in a top-tier multinational FMCG food company
-
Strong relationship building skills
-
Excellent business acumen
-
Deep acquired knowledge of politics, cultural fabric, social practices, preferences of people and the competition
KEY JOB PERFORMANCE AREAS:
-
Collaborate with the board to define and articulate the company's vision and develop strategies for achieving that vision
-
Create annual operating plans that support the strategic direction set by the incumbent and the Board and correlate with annual operating budgets
-
Develop and monitor strategies for ensuring the long-term profitable growth and viability of the company
-
Develop future leadership within the company
-
Provide strategic direction and accountability for the entire South African organisation
-
Organisation mission development
-
Ensure compliance with corporate governance principles
-
Stakeholder stewardship, including evaluation, negotiations, strategy, performance delivery and development of strategy and policy for the organisation
-
Collaborate with the Board in the development of the company's overall strategic plan
-
Organisational-wide Policy Approval
-
Promote a culture that reflects the company's values, encourage good performance and reward productivity
-
Ensure that staff of the company have sufficient and up-to-date information
-
Evaluate the company's and the staff's performance on a regular basis
-
Oversee the staff in developing annual budgets that support annual operating plans and submit budgets to the local Board for support and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) for approval
-
Prudently manage the company's resources within budgetary guidelines and constraints
-
Identify which mergers and acquisitions make the most sense for the company and motivate accordingly
