SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:
Be responsible for the provision of a full generalist Human Resources service to the South African business
GROUP BACKGROUND:
The company is one of the largest employers in the eMalahleni region. Group turnover is in excess of R4 billion and more than 3 000 people are employed.
KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
-
At least ten years experience in the human resources field in a large international industrial manufacturing organisation which employs at least 1 500 people
-
Must currently be leading a significant human resources division

Experience of working closely with a senior team and knowledgeable about performance management and reward systems
-
Knowledge of the South African legislative framework and employment practices is essential

Professional Manager with excellent communication skills
KEY JOB PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Provide high level operational Human Resources support to line management
-
Manage employee/industrial relations, training and employment equity issues and leverage best practice Human Resources initiatives across the business

Contribute to the current performance and future development of the business by active participation in the Executive Committee

Operate as an effective coach and sounding board for senior colleagues and be a leader and mentor of the Human Resources team

Establish succession planning for key roles
-
Hands-on and willing to get involved and "roll up sleeves"

Introduce a style of management that encourages innovation and improved methods of achieving objectives
