Company Background:
South African Subsidiary of a Global Building Products Organisation. The organisation has multiple, geographically dispersed, manufacturing operations in South Africa and an annual turnover in the region of R200 million.
Job Summary: Job
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Sales Commercial Director will have a sales team of 60 people under his/her control and will be responsible for optimising the commercial performance of the organisation.
Key areas of activity:

Providing strategic and business leadership in the creation, development and implementation of sales and commercial strategies

Improving the business' position at the forefront of the industry and enhancing market share to ensure outstanding returns on investment
Key Attributes Required:

A degree in Business Management or Commerce

At least five to eight years experience in positions with increasing levels of responsibility in commercial management and strategic business plan development, preferably gained in an industrial manufacturing environment

Financially literate and commercially astute with an understanding of the dynamics of the South African marketplace

Strong business acumen with a strategic approach and customer focused with a track record of sales success

Dynamic and energetic with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills

An analytical thinker and problem solver who is able to interpret and implement company policy frameworks
