Listed multi-billion Rand industrial manufacturing organisation
Position Summary:
The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and has a total staff responsibility for a team of 30 people. The Supply Chain Director's key focus is on:
- Designing, implementing and maintaining group supply chain strategy and tactical plans to align with Organisational goals and targets
- Managing a procurement/logistics budget in excess of R2 billion
Key Attributes Sought:

Bachelor of Commerce (Logistics/Supply Chain) degree coupled with a Business qualification

At least five years management experience in the supply chain/logistics field in an industrial manufacturing environment with a turnover of about R100 million and employing in the region of 70 people

Intimate knowledge of all aspects of supply chain management, methodologies and processes

Experience of pulling together contracts and participating in tough negotiations with key suppliers

Well developed budgeting and financial control skills
