SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will be responsible for integrating, scaling, and leading all revenue-generating functions across the organisation’s digital platform ecosystem. The CRO will drive enterprise-wide revenue strategy, ensuring alignment between go-to-market execution, platform monetisation, industry solution packaging, ecosystem partnerships, and customer lifecycle management. This executive will cultivate strategic partnerships, unlock new revenue streams, optimise sales and marketing performance, and build scalable revenue infrastructure to support sustainable, high-margin growth.

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

A minimum of 10 years’ demonstrated success as a Chief Revenue Officer, or in a comparable commercial leadership role within a dynamic business environment, including at least 5 years at executive level within a platform, SaaS, or digital services organisation.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth through innovative strategies, including new product development, effective marketing initiatives, strategic branding, and successful partnership ventures.
Extensive leadership experience overseeing diverse teams, including senior-level professionals, with accountability for P&L management
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, make informed decisions, and contribute to overall financial success
Demonstrated success in developing and executing monetisation strategies within platform- or ecosystem-based business models.
Proven track record of successfully selling solutions into both the private and public sectors.
Experience conducting business beyond South Africa’s borders would be advantageous.
Proven ability to cultivate and leverage strategic partnerships that contribute significantly to revenue growth and market expansion

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or Technology-related discipline

Chief Financial Officer, Natural Resources Sector

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will serve as a true ‘right hand’ and strategic partner, providing operational and financial leadership to drive an ambitious growth agenda. The CFO in partnership with CEO will drive business strategy, growth, ESG, efficient procurement, improve product realisation and overall business performance including production improvement, cost reduction and CSI. To lead the Finance function by enabling creation and execution of business plans, tracking performance through financial reporting and cost tracking, facilitating capital allocation and investments (through Treasury), drive robust financial governance via systems, audit, controls and compliances, drive efficient working capital management and supervise IT with the objective of ensuring smooth business operations and realisation of short-term and long-term business objectives.

The CFO’s enhanced focus will be to drive the company’s governance framework, compliances, transparent and timely reporting, ensuring enough cash availability in the business through internal and external resources to drive production enhancement, drive overall cost control to make sustainable, as well as department budgets, design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures and be responsible for smooth conduct of both internal and external audits.

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

Minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the incumbent must have previous experience having served as a trusted strategic partner and “right hand,” combining strong operational capability with sound financial acumen and the credibility to engage effectively with investors and key stakeholders.
Demonstrable experience in finance and accounting within large or mid-sized process industrial organisations (preferably mining).
Experience in FP&A function in a large / mid-size process industrial organisation (preferably in mining) with exposure to IFRS standards, knowledge of tax and treasury operations and corporate governance
Proven track record of operational excellence and financial leadership, including direct experience managing investor relations and representing the company to external stakeholders.
Substantial experience in financial management, planning, and analysis in the mining or related process industries.
Track record of driving business transformation, cost optimisation, and value creation

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

At least 20 years post-qualifying progressive leadership experience, with at least 10 years in executive-level roles within complex, multi-dimensional organisations, ideally in Digital, ICT, Technology, or transformation-intensive environments.
Demonstrated track record in leading and scaling large, complex organisations with annual turnover exceeding R1.5 billion, including accountability for multi-business P&L, capital allocation, and enterprise-wide performance delivery
Significant executive leadership experience within the Technology / Service Integrator or Professional / Advisory Services organisation. Deep understanding of platform business models, multi-sided markets, data monetisation, and ecosystem design

Experience across both the public sector and commercial markets is advantageous

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Engineering, Technology, or a relevant discipline is required.
