SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

The CEO is responsible for providing strategic, financial and operational leadership for the company and will closely coordinate and work with the Board of Directors and direct senior leadership team. He/she will be in charge of the Strategy implementation with a strong guiding leadership of the respective Business Units and management teams. In executing their brief, he/she will have responsibility and authority for the effective leadership and profitable management of the operations so as to optimise the value on a sustainable basis that accrues to the Group's stakeholders over the immediate, medium and long term. He/she will promote innovation, efficiency, and develop competencies in all aspects of the business.

It is anticipated that success in the role would be achieved through multi-disciplinary leadership and influence with particular emphasis on:

• Defining business strategies in collaboration with Executive team members and Business Unit management teams, and taking full responsibility of the implementation
• Driving portfolio optimisation, growth and business development, sales and marketing for key markets
• Assuming financial and managerial responsibility and authority so as to build upon the existing successes and momentum of the company
• Assuming overall operational responsibilities for corporate governance, operational safety and operational excellence
• Continued development of the management team including their participation and engagement in the strategic plan
• Guides ethics and cultural transformation

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in an executive general management leadership role, ideally in the FMCG sector
• Must have been responsible for annual revenue over R7.5 billion and preferably with strong experience in managing and optimising a diverse business in terms of product, manufacturing and distribution
• Strong experience in business development, sales & marketing
• Experience in increasing profitability in a stagnant economy and leading successful changes in organisations
• Experience in executing and integrating Mergers & Acquisitions will be advantageous
• Bachelor Degree and Master in Business Administration
