SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

The Chief Executive Officer will work closely with the shareholders to effect a turnaround and growth strategy with particular emphasis on responsibility and authority for the execution of an effective turnaround, growth, leadership and profitable management of the company to optimise the value that accrues to the stakeholders over the immediate, medium- and long-term. This includes: implementing a vision, strategic direction and momentum to build on and deliver the potential that the turnaround will create; and embedding an ethos of excellence and desire for continuous improvement and growth across the organisations within the group

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• At least 10 years’ experience in an executive general management leadership role , ideally in a major manufacturing company/ division of large corporation.
• Must have strong experience in leading and executing organisational changes and integrating Mergers & Acquisitions especially experience in turning around a business
• Must have been responsible for annual revenue over R500 million  with a staff complement of at least 300 employees and preferably with strong experience in managing and optimising multiple business units within a federated model business
• Strong business and commercial acumen and growth experience
• Should have a good understanding of corporate governance and continuous improvement experience
• Pan African exposure will be advantageous

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree ideally in (electrical) engineering or any other relevant business degree
• A MBA qualification will be an advantage
