JOB LOCATION: Johannesburg, South Africa

REPORTING TO: Sales Director and Senior Team Member in China

 

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:  

The Chinese Customer Account Manager (CCAM) will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Chinese-owned businesses in the region, serving as a cultural and business liaison, and supporting the growth of key accounts. The role involves business development, customer relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver tailored solutions and drive commercial success. Regular travel within Sub-Saharan Africa is required. 

 

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED: 

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is a requirement, with strong cross-cultural communication and relationship-building skills 
  • Proven experience in business development, marketing, or account management within B2B sectors, ideally engaging with multinational or Chinese-owned/-invested enterprises 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage senior-level client relationships, negotiate effectively, and deliver customer-focused solutions 
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to working across diverse teams and regions 
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally and internationally as required 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant professional experience
