SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

Assume responsibility for growing a successful and profitable retail business and develop and refine the retail business strategies and continue to grow a sustainable route to market for the relevant products and service offerings for the South Africa and Sub-Saharan region

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• Must have had at least ten years senior management with deep knowledge of the country’s retail industry combined with strong retail development and retail management skills
• Thorough knowledge of retail operations, including budget preparation and control, inventory control, sales, customer service, systems, merchandising
• Store management experience with a large retail or franchise company with a national footprint would be useful
• Should have managed a minimum staff complement of 10 people and at least 30 branches/retail outlets and have had responsibility for an annual turnover in the region of R100 million
• An operationally hands on retail steward
• Clear evidence of continued progression of responsibilities across a range of retail operations, sales, customer service, and marketing roles
• Experience in an entrepreneurial environment / structure will be a distinct advantage
• A track record of success in continuing the existing growth and momentum of a businesses to over achievement and building the next growth phase
• Self-starting personality, highly motivated individual

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in either Sales, Marketing, Business Administration/Management, Engineering or other relevant degree is essential
• Post graduate qualification would be preferable
