POSITION: Marketing, Branding and Communications Manager

JOB LOCATION: Johannesburg, South Africa  

REPORTING TO: Country Manager, South Africa; with a dotted line to the Chief Executive Officer - Africa 



As the Marketing, Branding, and Communication Manager, the incumbent will be at the forefront of the company’s marketing efforts, leading the development and execution of strategies that elevate the company’s brand presence in the construction industry. The incumbent plays a critical role in driving the company's marketing strategy, and effectively communicating with the company’s target audience across the South Africa/ Sub-Saharan Africa region. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the South African and broad African market and a passion for creating impactful campaigns that resonate with the company’s customers. The role requires a forward-thinking, hands-on mentality, and the ability to navigate the political landscape, influencing stakeholders and selling innovative ideas as well as nurturing internal and external relationships while driving the brand's visibility and market reach. 



  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing and Communication roles at a senior level, with a focus on marketing construction products within a multinational firm in the African market 

  • Experience in the building products/ materials/ construction industry is critical 

  • Must have led a team previously 

  • Demonstrated success in developing, implementing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns that have achieved measurable results and contributed to business growth 

  • Proven experience in brand management, including brand positioning, identity, and guidelines 

  • Strong digital marketing expertise, including proficiency in social media, SEO/ SEM, email marketing, and content marketing 

  • Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level 

  • Exceptional communication skills in English with proficiency in Portuguese and/ or French preferred 



  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.  

  • A Master's degree would be advantageous
