SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

The incumbent will be required to supervise and control all activities of the plant, including Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E), Quality, Engineering, Production, Production Planning, Maintenance, Order Handling, Internal Logistics, etc. This oversight aims to maintain optimal cost levels and effectively meet customer requirements. Additionally, the incumbent will take ownership of the Budget and Profit & Loss (P&L) management of the plant

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• At least ten years of experience in production management for an organisation of complex production environments which manufactures and sells technical equipment
• Should ideally have managed a minimum staff complement of 20 people and have had profit and loss responsibility for an annual turnover of circa. R500 million or more
• Must have a working knowledge of technical products, ideally electronic or lighting products
• Ability to strategise effectively, foster agility, and promote a continuous improvement environment
• Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to challenging traditional systems and driving the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies and practices
• Experience in a multinational group is essential

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Electronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering degree
• Lean Manufacturing methodology training is required, with additional proficiency in Six Sigma
