SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

Assume responsibility for providing strategic financial advisory leadership to the company and subsidiary companies, directing the Group’s financial management policies and procedures to ensure the Group’s financial operations, transactions, assets and investments are effectively managed in line with the short- and long-term business, profitability, and sustainability objectives of the Group.

A key component of the responsibilities includes the contribution to the development of the Group’s overall strategy and, in particular, the development of the Group’s financial and tax strategy, risk management framework and sustainability guidelines.

Furthermore, he/she is accountable for the direction, management and performance of the Finance department and Treasury function

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• Essential to hold a Chartered Accountant qualification
• Additional post graduate qualifications or a Master of Business Administration are beneficial
• Must have managed the financial function within a business with a turnover of at least R1 billion, ideally in the Retail Property Management sector
• At least ten years post-qualifying experience, five of which in a finance leadership role
• Must understand how to formulate, implement and execute business strategies
• Must have a thorough understanding of Good Corporate Governance, King IV, accounting principles and tax legislation
