SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

• Assume responsibility for providing strategic financial advisory leadership to the Board, Shareholders and senior management team and directing the financial and administrative functions and affairs of the Company with particular emphasis on assisting the Managing Director in the formulation, implementation and execution of strategic plans to grow the footprint of the business operations, establishing a robust finance function and streamlining back office functions to create capacity for growth

• The Finance Director will be responsible for the Company’s financial framework, management policies and procedures, as well as internal controls to ensure the financial operations, transactions, assets and investments are effectively managed in line with the short- and long-term business and profitability objectives of the Company, and financial information is accurately reported within the relevant timeframes

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• Must have a  CA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• A Master of Business Administration degree would be advantageous
• At least ten years post-qualifying experience, six of which should have been in a finance leadership role
• Must have worked in Africa in one or more of the following sectors: Livestock Agribusiness; Feed Milling; Agricultural Production; Distribution; FMCG; and Value Chain; Mobile Telephony
• Strong Information technology skills, with experience in Microsoft office, electronic reporting and operational systems. Should ideally have led a project to implement a new accounting software system
• Must be a seasoned financial professional with experience in budgeting, tax, auditing and monthly reporting
• Strong operational management experience together with financial modelling and compilation of long-term cash forecasts for businesses
