POSITION: Human Resources Business Partner 

NATURE OF BUSINESS: Professional Services with a focus on Research

JOB LOCATION: Johannesburg, South Africa

REPORTING TO: Solid line to Global Chief HR Officer and dotted line to local management

 

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: The HR Business Partner serves as the primary liaison for managers and employees on HR-related matters, ensuring a consistent and effective implementation of HR strategies within their scope of responsibility.  They provide strategic guidance on talent management, employee relations, workforce planning, and organisational development to align HR initiatives with business objectives.

 

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

•    8–10 years of broad Generalist HR experience, including knowledge of South African employment legislation.
•    Change agent capable of implementing and sustaining new processes.
•    Experience working in a global organization within a matrix structure, and the ability to deploy and activate central tools in-country
•    Ability to lead and manage culture change initiatives, supporting management in fostering a more engaged, motivated, and high-performing workforce 
•    Demonstrates resilience and a strong mindset, effectively navigating ambiguity and remaining composed in a dynamic, evolving environment 


QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Ideally a University degree and certificate in Human Resources Management, or equivalent combination of education.
