Senior Human Resources Manager, Financial Services and Wealth Industry

JOB TITLE: Senior Human Resources Manager  

NATURE OF BUSINESS: Financial Services and Wealth Industry 

JOB LOCATION: Western Cape, South Africa  

REPORTING TO: Head of HR and Chief Executive Officer 

 

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:  

Assume responsibility for the development and management of a comprehensive Human Resources strategy, plan and execution of all associated Human Resources activities in support of the business operational, financial, customer and people goals. Particular emphasis on managing, developing and enhancing human resource practices and strategy within the business to ensure efficient and effective operation and strategy development and maintenance. Direct and manage the Human Resource function and lead the team to ensure a competent and cohesive workforce that enables inspires, empowers and rewards employees according to organisational strategic objectives. 

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED: 

  • At least 10 years’ relevant Human Resources experience preferably within the financial services industry with at least 5 years being at a management level as HR Manager/ Executive 

  • Must have Human Resources experience within a highly regulated corporate environment and deep understanding of HR policies and procedures 

  • Demonstrated success in ensuring compliance within Human Resources Operations, particularly within the financial services industry 

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in interpreting South African and United Kingdom legislation, ensuring regulatory compliance 

  • Proficiency in developing procedure manuals, interpreting process flows, and implementing evidence-based processes 

  • Proven experience as a Human Resources Generalist, encompassing business partnering, policy formation, strategy development and implementation, training and development, talent management, and solutions management within a Centre of Excellence framework 

  • Strong managerial, planning and organisational skills, with experience in people management and change management is essential 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • At least a relevant Bachelor’s degree with specialisation in Human Resources Management/ Social Sciences/ Industrial Psychology/ Legal or relevant field 

  • Post Graduate qualification with specialisation in Human Resources Management/ Social Sciences/ Industrial Psychology/ Legal or relevant field would be preferable
