SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will be responsible for integrating, scaling, and leading all revenue-generating functions across the organisation’s digital platform ecosystem. The CRO will drive enterprise-wide revenue strategy, ensuring alignment between go-to-market execution, platform monetisation, industry solution packaging, ecosystem partnerships, and customer lifecycle management. This executive will cultivate strategic partnerships, unlock new revenue streams, optimise sales and marketing performance, and build scalable revenue infrastructure to support sustainable, high-margin growth.
 

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ demonstrated success as a Chief Revenue Officer, or in a comparable commercial leadership role within a dynamic business environment, including at least 5 years at executive level within a platform, SaaS, or digital services organisation.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through innovative strategies, including new product development, effective marketing initiatives, strategic branding, and successful partnership ventures.
  • Extensive leadership experience overseeing diverse teams, including senior-level professionals, with accountability for P&L management
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, make informed decisions, and contribute to overall financial success
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing monetisation strategies within platform- or ecosystem-based business models.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling solutions into both the private and public sectors.
  • Experience conducting business beyond South Africa’s borders would be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and leverage strategic partnerships that contribute significantly to revenue growth and market expansion


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or Technology-related discipline
  • Preferred Qualifications: MBA or advanced leadership qualifications in Sales Strategy / Revenue Operations
