REPORTING TO: Head of Property and Executive Committee

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

The role requires a highly skilled and motivated Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and management of a diverse portfolio of properties within the group’s Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), corporate held properties (held via Oasis Crescent Property Company (Pty) Ltd) as well as properties held by the ultimate beneficial shareholders (or their chosen corporate vehicles). The incumbent will be responsible for maximising the performance, value, and profitability of the properties while providing exceptional service to tenants and stakeholders. Emphasis on ensuring that all properties are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all relevant legal requirements.

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in property management, with a focus on project planning, property maintenance, and facilities management, preferably in commercial real estate
  • Strong understanding of real estate laws, regulations, and legal principles, with a proven track record of ensuring legal compliance in property management operations
  • Strong knowledge of facility management principles, practices, and regulations
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices related to property maintenance
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, business administration, finance, or related field (minimum)
  • Current real estate license and/or industry certifications (e.g., Certified Property Manager, Real Property Administrator) (advantageous)
  • Proven track record of effectively utilising MRI Real Estate software (formerly MDA Property Manager) to manage property operations and drive results
  • Proficiency in project management software, maintenance management systems (CMMS), and Microsoft Office Suite
